Our team had first-hand experience with different programming, data logging, and diagnostic tools that tuners had to use and we faced the same problems as you. It is annoying and pricey to constantly change your tool to flash the control unit, then do a (data)log, and follow with a check for fault codes. Other mainstream tools limit your ability to reflash the code area, where you can only edit the calibration/dataset but not “how” it works.
